Our final day on the road and our first stop Cairns and the town of Earlville which is home to the BIG Marlin. Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and there is so much to do. We sampled a few of the best places on our walk including a quick bite to eat at the best seafood in Cairns, you eat it straight from the trawler at Prawn Star.  Docked at the Cairns Marlin Marina, the boat slash seafood joint is famed for its quirky, no-fuss set-up and affordable prices. We then headed off to see the BIG Captain Cook statue before heading back off on our trip.

We headed to Kuranda, which is located in World Heritage Rainforest. We experienced the largest flight aviary in Australia at the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary home to over 1500 free-flying tropical butterflies and moths, checked out the Koala and Wildlife Park and lunch at the Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

After 3686 Km's we reached Port Douglas, home to the aquamarine waters of the Great Barrier Reef, the breathtaking canopy of the Daintree Rainforest, the crystal creeks of Mossman Gorge, and the palm fringed golden sands of Four Mile Beach. It is the only place on Earth where two World Heritage-listed sites – the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest – meet and it's the perfect place to end our Movember walk.
